At the end of July Frank and I found out we would be expecting our new addition to the family at the beginning of April 2008. We waited until the three month period before telling our families the good news. It has been a very emotional journey for all of us in antisipation of our new bundle of joy. As the tummy grew our excitement grew to see what little being we had created. We were very fortunate to have had a great pregnancy until the very end. The last few weeks were a bit scary with my high blood pressure and weekly visits to the hospital. In the end I became very good friends with the nurses and staff. On March 1, 2008 my water broke around 4:00ish in the afternoon. I had no idea what had actually happened had it not been for our good friend Shannon Polk who adviced me to go to the hospital (Thanks Shannon!). We were admitted to the hospital that evening and some how Frank and I managed to sleep through the night. The next day March 2, 2008 contractions started early and Aunt Tina, Uncle Sammy and my parents arrived a bit before noon in anticipation of our new arrival. The day flew by (I say that now) and after a small scare of having to have a c-section our little Peyton Joseph Pecorino was born at 7:18 at 6lbs. 9 ozs. a month before term. Peyton was kept in the NICU for a week where his breathing, feeding and skin coloration were all carefully monitored. He has been home since and we are slowly learning all of his little sounds and different cries.
